A huge Thank You to our members, participants and attendees for making K9 Karnival a Big success! From Police dogs and a blind dog passing the CGC test to the Doggie Fun Zone, 'K9 Karnival' had it all. Milford CT was abuzz with activity as TFKC set up shop at Eisenhower Park Saturday, Sept 27th with our yearly AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day event. Senator Blumenthal came to award certificates and medals to the first K9 officers, from Newtown and Orange, to receive their CGC titles. The Westport K9 unit joined them in the Demo ring, to show off their expertise in protection and hunting down bad guys. Agility, Treibbal demos, Herding, Parade of Breeds. Best Kissing and Best Dressed contests were just some of the activities enjoyed by the throngs of people who attended. The Doggie Fun Zone proved to be a winner as dogs of all shapes and sizes showed their skills in speed and coordination following a lure through a soft-sided obstacle course. Vendors and raffles rounded out a day of spectacular weather and fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year!
